Liverpool's struggles persisted as they were held to a draw by Sunderland at Anfield on Wednesday. Arne Slot's team have managed only two victories in their last nine league outings.
After bouncing back against West Ham last weekend, the Reds were hopeful of overcoming the Black Cats on their home turf. However, following a goalless first half, they found themselves behind. Chemsdine Talbi broke the deadlock after 66 minutes, putting the visitors on track for victory before Florian Wirtz's shot hit off Nordi Mukiele to equalise and secure a point for Liverpool .
Wirtz has had a challenging time since his summer move and although he believed he'd scored the 80th-minute goal it was deemed an own goal. He
