Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller Dhurandhar has finally hit the theatres on Friday, December 5. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Sara Arjun in key roles. The high-stakes espionage thriller is inspired by real covert operations of Indian intelligence, set against the backdrop of events like the IC-814 hijacking in 1999.

While the film is said to be the most violent in Indian cinema, fans are lauding the Hollywood-level scale at which the story is visualised. But right before the release of Dhurandhar, it ran into some trouble. The parents of late Major Mohit Sharma, Ashoka Chakra and Sena Medal awardee, had approached the Delhi High Court seeking an immediate stay on the release of the film.
