West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief, Mamata Banerjee, slammed Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday and said the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was Shah's trick to implement president's rule in the state.

Accusing the BJP of stirring communal divide in the state, Banerjee said over half of those who died in SIR-related incidents were Hindus. Addressing an anti-SIR rally in Berhampore, Banerjee said she is yet to fill out her enumeration forms and will do so only after ensuring names of all eligible voters are included in the list.
