The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ( BMC ) has started the recruitment of specialist doctors for its HBT polyclinics through outsourcing. Under this method, doctors will be paid a minimum of Rs 1,500 to a maximum of Rs 4,000 for one visit per week. The BMC has issued an advertisement to invite applications from specialists.

HBT Polyclinics was started with the Hindu Hridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Apla Dawakhana initiative.

Patients who come to ‘Aapla Dawakhana’ are referred to the doctors in the respective polyclinics after examination. Currently, there are 26 such polyclinics in mumbai , but there are vacancies for many posts of specialist doctors.
