Flight prices between Delhi and Mumbai have touched shocking levels as IndiGo’s operational problems entered the third day on Friday. With hundreds of cancellations and thousands of passengers left scrambling for alternatives, fares for last-minute tickets have more than doubled across major travel platforms.
PRICES CLIMB AS DEMAND JUMPS OVERNIGHT
The sudden rush for seats has pushed fares to levels rarely seen on this busy business route. Travellers trying to book urgent flights found that prices had shot up almost instantly.
On MakeMyTrip, a non-stop Delhi–Mumbai flight for December 6, 2025 was priced between Rs 38,376 and Rs 48,972. One-stop options were even higher, starting at Rs 49,585 and going up to Rs 65,460.
