The aviation watchdog on Friday appealed to all pilot bodies to help stabilise operations as flight disruptions linked to IndiGo ripple across major airports. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) warned that the combination of fog, holiday travel, and the approaching wedding rush could intensify delays unless cockpit crews and airlines work in sync.
In a letter sent to pilot associations, the DGCA asked for "coordination and cooperation" to minimise cancellations and protect passengers from further inconvenience. The regulator said its priority is to maintain safety while ensuring uninterrupted operations during the busiest travel period of the year.
