Eliza retired from acting in 2017. She'd won a settlement after suing CBS for sexual misconduct. She went back to school, graduated with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling with focus on addiction, recovery and trauma. She also has a certification in psychedelic assisted therapy through a California university. Obtaining a doctorate is on her list to do.
She continues to fight to legalize the use of psychedelics after her own experience dealing with her trauma.
Her new project is the documentary "In Waves of War" where she serves as executive producer. The film, now streaming, follows three Navy SEALs as they grapple with the trauma of war. They go to Mexico to try psychedelic therapies.
Eliza is also in recovery from addiction and has been clean and sober for 17 year
