Israel’s air-defense systems are widely known as some of the most advanced and battle-tested in the world, and their strength has been clearly seen in recent conflicts.

Now, the country is preparing for a major upgrade to its defense network. On December 30, Israel will introduce its new laser-based air-defense system, known as the “Iron Beam,” which is expected to strengthen the nation’s security shield.

“The development work has been completed, and the tests have confirmed the system’s capabilities. Therefore, we are ready to hand it over to the IDF on December 30, 2025.” Brigadier General (Retd.)
