“Glitz, Glam and a Damn Good Time” is not only the title of a book by Jennifer Wright, but an apt description of the Literary Society of the Desert’s Nov. 19 luncheon to celebrate the opening of its 10th season of promoting literacy and a love of reading.

Vice president Joanne Mintz welcomed members and guests to Thunderbird Country Club and informed attendees that the camera in the back of the room would be recording the presentation of the book by the author for C-SPAN Book TV.
