The contents of a handwritten letter left two friends gobsmacked after they found it enclosed and nailed shut under their staircase during a home renovation project

Two friends who are in the process of renovating their new home have been left stunned after discovering a series of items hidden under the staircase. Zoh and Zai took to TikTok after they found mysterious boxes behind a wooden panel that had been nailed shut .

After analysing the boxes' contents , the duo believe it could be a case of a "love story gone wrong", which they went on to detail in a video. "We didn't know what they were or how long they had been there," they said. "But when we finally plucked up the courage to open them, we realised they had been waiting for someone to find them."
