All IndiGo flights departing from Delhi Airport on Friday have been cancelled till midnight, while operations for other carriers remain as scheduled, the Delhi Airport advisory stated. The issue has affected tens of thousands of passengers who are worried about extended delays and soaring travel costs. Several frustrated passengers were heard shouting and demanding an explanation for the inordinate flight delays, and some of them said they boarded a flight, and later they had to deboard as the service was cancelled. DGCA said that the airlines operational disruptions and flight cancellations stemmed from misjudgement and planning gaps in implementing the second phase of the revised new pilot rest rules.
