FirstEnergy has reported a widespread power outage the afternoon of Dec. 4 that has affected about 11,000 customers in northeastern Stark County and southern Summit County, including those in Canal Fulton and Lawrence Township.

Restoration time is estimated to be 3:30 p.m. Crews are continuing to investigate the cause of the outage.

In addition to Canal Fulton and Lawrence Township, customers in the Clinton, Green and New Franklin areas also are without power.
