DUBLIN, Ohio — A Dublin man was sentenced Thursday to more than 12 years in federal prison for arranging to meet with someone whom he believed was a minor for sexual acts, according to United States Attorney Dominick S. Gerace II.
The U.S. attorney's office said 35-year-old Kyle Tennyson, a registered sex offender, was sentenced to 151 months after arranging a visit online to a supposed 15-year-old.
Tennyson, a registered sex offender, used the social media app Kasual to talk to who he thought was a 15-year-old, but was actually an undercover agent.
According to court documents, Tennyson messaged, “It’s just extremely risky for a guy to do anything with you sadly. :/ I hate the law” after learning the supposed minor’s age.
