BEREA, Ohio — Shedeur Sanders has a chance on Sunday vs. the 1-11 Titans to show the NFL world that he’s better than No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward.

Sanders and Ward headed into the pre-draft process as the top two quarterbacks in the class, and were projected by many to go No. 1 and No. 2 in the draft, to the Titans and Browns. Close friends, they worked out together and pushed each other hard in the runup to the draft.

Ward, the former Miami signal-caller, went No. 1 as expected, but Sanders, the Colorado star, suffered the biggest freefall in the history of the draft, tumbling to the fifth-round, where the Browns traded up to No. 144 to draft him.

Now, they both head into Sunday’s matchup at a crossroads in their career with a lot to prove.
