Federal agents arrested a Virginia man Thursday on charges of having planted two pipe bombs near the Capitol the night before Jan. 6, 2021, after nearly five years of false investigative leads and rampant conspiracy theories — some of them promoted by the same top FBI officials who ultimately took credit for solving the case.
