The bookworms have spoken: Goodreads has announced the winners of the 17th annual Goodreads Choice Awards . This year, Goodreads reports that the event broke a new voting record with more than 7.5 million votes cast across 15 genres for 300 nominated titles.

In order to determine the winners, which features one top pick in each genre, Goodreads editors analyze site statistics to identify 20 nominees in each of 15 categories — working with Audible editors to include their data for the audiobook pick. Goodreads members then went two rounds of voting to determine the final winners.
