Jamie Oliver has announced he will relaunch his Italian restaurants in 2026 – seven years after it went out of business – having reached a deal with Brava Hospitality Group, the owners of Prezzo.

The celebrity chef said he wanted to “disrupt mid-market dining” on the high street when he first launched Jamie’s Italian, beginning with a restaurant on Oxford’s George Street in 2008. He spoke of wanting to fight the recession of the time with “optimism”, offering “great value and much higher quality ingredients and best in class animal welfare standards”.

The chain would go on to grow to over 40 sites across the country.
