The 2025 NCHSAA football playoffs are winding down, with regional championships Dec. 5 to determine who will play for state titles.

Stormy weather forced schedule changes this week, pushing seven regional finals up to Thursday, including a matchup between 7A powerhouses Clayton and Cardinal Gibbons. The 6A West final between Northern Guilford and Watauga was moved to Saturday.

Hough and Millbrook have already secured their spots in the 8A state championship, scheduled for Dec. 11-13, along with 1A teams Robbinsville and Wilson Prep, as those two classifications had a smaller bracket and a shorter playoff span.
