The Lone Star girls basketball team played its first varsity season in 2010-2011, and it hit the ground running.

The Rangers made the playoffs in their inaugural campaign, and have maintained that success through three classifications, making 13 postseason appearances, capturing five district titles and making a run to the regional championship game in 2020.
