Two Florida teen boys are facing first-degree murder charges in the death of a 14-year-old girl who was found shot multiple times and her body burned.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson announced Thursday the arrest of the two suspects in the death of Danika Troy, who had been reported missing earlier in the week.

Johnson said the suspects, who are 14 and 16 years old, were “supposedly” friends with victim.

“Right now there’s not a clear motive, but I can tell you this. We’re going be hopefully working with the State Attorney’s office to get these individuals charged as adults. You do an adult crime, you do adult time,” he said.

The sheriff’s office also released a timeline of events in a press release.
