LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police have released the footage of an officer-involved shooting that happened in Southland neighborhood late last month.

Fourth Division officers responded to a call at around 9:55 p.m. of a robbery in the 100 block of East Southland Boulevard on Saturday, Nov. 22.

The caller told police that they were robbed at gunpoint and gave a description of the suspect.

LMPD says officers found a man near the scene of the robbery and attempted to make contact with them, prompting the suspect to flee while taking out a handgun.

The two officers, Patrick Norton and Richard Waller, then fired at the suspect. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Norton had previously shot a man while on duty back in November 2019.
