AUSTINTOWN - The suspect in an officer-involved shooting in Austintown earlier this week has officially been charged.
According to court records, 33-year-old Jacob Hall, a former corrections officer at the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center (NEOCC), is charged with felony counts of discharge of a firearm into a habitation and inducing panic, as well as misdemeanor counts of aggravated menacing and using weapons while intoxicated.
No arraignment date has been set for Hall at this time.
Hall is charged in connection with an officer-involved shooting that occurred Sunday, November 30 at a home on Yorkshire Boulevard. Police say Hall had been making homicidal and suicidal threats.
