The FIFA World Cup 2026 “ Final Draw ,” which will determine the tournament’s group stage composition (and the pathways that nations will have to take in their quest to win the iconic trophy), begins at noon on Friday.
The draw itself is being hosted in Washington D.C., 188 days before the tournament kicks off across the United States, Canada, and Mexico on June 11. An unprecedented total of 48 nations will compete in the 2026 World Cup. So far, 42 have qualified, with six more spots to be determined in play-off match-ups in March 2026.
