SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly Springfield shooting.
Payton North, spokesperson for the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, said that Springfield Police responded to the 0-100 block of Home Street around 10:40 p.m. Sunday for a reported shooting victim. When they arrived, they found a man, who was inside an apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified Friday as 27-year-old Shain West of Springfield, was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
Daevon Shular, 21, of Seguin, TX was arrested Monday morning in connection with the shooting on charges including murder, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a build
