Satyaki Savarkar on Friday submitted an application before the special MP/MLA court in Pune, seeking directions to YouTube to produce the original video of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s alleged defamatory speech against freedom fighter and Hindutva ideologue V D Savarkar.

Satyaki is the grandnephew of V D Savarkar . He had filed the defamation complaint against Rahul for his alleged objectionable remarks against V D Savarkar during a speech in London on March 5, 2023.

Along with the complaint in 2023, Satyaki had submitted before the court some news reports, as well as a YouTube link of a video of Rahul’s speech in London, and a CD containing the video, as evidence. But when the CD was played during Satyaki’s chief examination in court last month, it was found to be blank.
