President Donald Trump continues to see largely negative approval ratings nearly a year into his second term in office.
Across several recent polls, Trump saw disapproval ratings in the 50-percentage range, reaching as high as 58% in a recent Economist/YouGov poll.
This comes as the Trump administration pushes forward with controversial immigration raids and rhetoric , Caribbean drone strikes that some in Congress have said were illegal, and seeks to mitigate international conflicts .
Meanwhile, President Trump is still talking about giving Americans a $2,000 " tariff dividend" refund in 2026.
Trump discussed the potential checks in a two-hour-plus Cabinet meeting on Dec. 2, during which he also called the "affordability" issue a "Democrat scam," and appeared to nod off
