Passengers at Ranchi airport experienced significant delays and cancellations on Friday as a host of IndiGo flights were disrupted, leaving travelers in confusion and distress.

According to Airport Director Vinod Kumar, the cancellations affected incoming and outgoing flights to major cities, with passengers citing a lack of communication from the airline.

The disruptions stemmed from crew shortages due to new mandatory rest periods. In response, the aviation authority DGCA offered exemptions to aid IndiGo in normalizing operations.
