US President Donald Trump on Friday received FIFA’s newly created peace prize, an award designed to recognise “individuals who unite people and bring hope for future generations."

The honour was presented during the official draw ceremony for the 2026 World Cup in Washington, which the United States will co-host with Mexico and Canada.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino handed Trump the award at the inaugural event, calling him a leader “who cares about the people." The certificate praised Trump for actions to “promote peace and unity around the world."
