GREAT FALLS —On Nov. 13, 26 year-old Dakota Wheeler pulled into the parking lot of his workplace, Rainbow Senior Living in Great Falls, to drop a friend off for his upcoming shift. The two sat in the car for a few moments, watching videos on their phones, when a silver Dodge Charger pulled up beside them.

“They came out immediately with guns,” said Brycen Pickering, Wheeler’s friend and coworker. “They kept yelling, ‘Get out of the car! Get out of the car!’”

Pickering said Wheeler didn’t immediately move from the car, because he didn’t understand what was happening.
