For the third time in four years, Glenville has claimed Ohio's Division IV high school football crown, doing so this time with a dominating 45-7 win over Shelby Friday in Canton. Ted Ginn Sr.'s team relied on its superior talent in what was an All-Northeast Ohio state championship game, and when it comes to pure talent, there might not be a team in the OHSAA with more of it.
Glenville's defense overwhelmed the Whippets from start to finish, allowing just 27 total yards and sacking quarterback Brayden DeVito four times. Three of those sacks went to Kaylon Bailey, and as a team, the Tarblooders combined for nine tackles for loss.
