UPDATE: The Lakers made it official ruling LeBron James out against the Celtics due to right sciatica and left joint arthritis.
This will make beating Boston that much harder, but given that LeBron is the oldest player in the NBA, it makes sense for him not to push it and play both games in back-to-back matchups.
Perhaps LeBron being out will get Jarred Vanderbilt back into the rotation, or other role players like Gabe Vincent or Nick Smith Jr. will step up in James’ absence.
The Lakers are looking to win their second straight game and earn their 10th road victory of the year.
