Santa Claus came to town with his friends from the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) to give teddy bears to children receiving medical care at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) on Friday.
Santa didn’t arrive as planned in a Griffon helicopter. Due to high winds and poor visibility caused by lake-effect snow, the RCAF elves at 1 Wing Headquarters, Canadian Armed Forces Base Kingston instead escorted Santa in a GP utility vehicle — or G wagon.

Regardless of his method of travel — be it chopper, jeep, sleigh, or otherwise — Santa was again excited to deliver more than 100 teddy bears to the children as part of Operation HOHOHO.
The bears were purchased with annual fundraising dollars by the efforts of 1 Wing Kingston staff. Approximately $900 was raised.
