Warren County officials plan to pass a resolution offering about $50,000 to support the county’s only harm reduction program.
The center, located on South Main Street, is spearheaded by Prevention is Key, and was in jeopardy of stopping operations if administrators could not secure funding to see their work through the 2026 calendar year.
The county will review the resolution as early as Wednesday, Dec. 10, officials told reporters Friday.
The funding would come from the county’s opioid settlement agreement, according to Warren County Chief of Staff Chris Infinito.
Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion, known as LEAD, is a community-based initiative that uses a harm reduction and housing first model to provide intensive case management for individuals at risk of repeated incarceration.
