ALEXANDRIA — Although Alexandria's old Soo Line Railroad depot no longer exists, there are still remnants of it around.
Some of those remnants recently found a new home at the Douglas County Historical Society .
The first two items — a 6.5-foot handpainted platform sign and an interior ticketing window — came from Douglas County resident Bruce Peterson.
The third item — a 1961 timetable for the Soo Line — came in after a Florida man, Richard Aalberg, saw a post about the other items on Facebook.
The donation of the signs happened toward the end of September, and was kicked off when Lewis Mundt, administrative and development manager for the historical society, saw the signs listed on Facebook Marketplace.
Peterson apparently acquired the two signs from his parents, who assisted in
