When Kevin September first asked the question of how people view Stratford, he didn’t think his query would turn out to be as big as it is.

Earlier this year, September launched a campaign to engage residents and visitors of the Festival City by asking them to explain what Stratford means to them. His campaign was so successful, however, that not only did it get submissions from outside of Stratford, it also went international.

Initially developing the idea through conversations with investStratford, the city’s economic development arm, September began his campaign by strategically locating notebooks at a few different city landmarks.

People answering September’s question were tasked with writing how they see the character, culture and beauty of Stratford.
