Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 05: Indian Coast Guard conducted a two-day Regional Level Pollution Response (PR) Exercise off Sri Vijaya Puram under the aegis of Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) aimed at enhancing preparedness and strengthening collective capability to respond to major marine pollution incidents in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Day 1 commenced with detailed briefings by participating stakeholders outlining roles responsibilities and preparedness plans. Discussions focused on response frameworks under National Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan (NOSDCP) availability of resources and coordinated action mechanisms.
