LEXINGTON — There’s a new championship football program in Louisville .

Deion Davidson’s 25-yard touchdown run with 3:30 remaining lifted Kentucky Country Day to a 20-16 victory over Raceland on Friday in the Class A state championship game at the University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field .

KCD (13-1) won an eight-man state championship in 2002 but became the first school from Louisville to capture the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s Class A title .
