Bron Rios is capping his high school career as one of the best football players in Reed history with a full-ride scholarship in hand to play for Nevada.
Rios, who will graduate from Reed this month and join the Wolf Pack in January, also has a fallback plan: to become a doctor.
Rios mostly played running back for the Raiders, and sometimes was on defense at linebacker. He is Reed’s all-time leader in points scored (362), rushing yards (4,085) and rushing touchdowns (54).
He also had seven receiving touchdowns on 58 receptions for 648 yards.
Nevada running backs coach Jim Mastro already has Rios working on speed and flexibility.
Rios carries a 4.3 weighed GPA and he will study biology at Nevada with the goal of becoming a doctor.
