It was the moment detectives discovered a ledger on the phone of drugs kingpin Jack Donegan's phone that the true scale of the drug dealing racket he headed became clear.

The document contained details of the supply of more than 800kg of Class A drugs, raking in profits of over £26 million in the process.

A sinister spreadsheet detailed numerous transactions, each worth tens of thousands of pounds. It specified if the drugs had been delivered, stating that more than half a million pounds had already paid in, with more than £450,000 still owed.

It laid bare what detectives have described as the 'staggering' scale of the operation. Warrington-based Donegan, 29, was using a network of couriers and associates to sell cocaine and ketamine across the region and beyond.
