With strong senior leadership and a promising group of underclassmen, the Thompson Valley girls swim and dive team is optimistic about the upcoming season.
Coming off a 17th-place finish at last year’s Class 3A state meet, this year’s Eagles team features a pair of swimmers who qualified for individual events, two diving qualifiers and a few others who swam on relays at state last season.
“I would like to see us move up a little bit more at state,” third-year head coach Kelsie Brumley said. “Last year we finished 17th and I think this year we have a better shot at moving up the ladder.
“I’m really hopeful for our divers. They narrowly missed the podium last year, so I am hoping to see them on the podium this year, which would be incredible. I’m also hoping to see more individual qualifi
