PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Police in Pueblo announced Friday that an arrest had been made in a homicide investigation related to the death of a man whose body was found near Lake Minnequa almost a month ago.

According to the Pueblo Police Department, officers responded to the area of Lakeshore Drive and Joliet Avenue on November 9 on reports of a dead body. When they arrived on scene, police found the body of Santana Lucero, 31, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Police said an arrest warrant was obtained on Thursday for Santana Montoya, 25, for First-Degree Murder, related to Lucero’s death. Montoya has been booked into the Pueblo County jail on $1,000,000 cash-only bond.
