Kyler Murray’s offseason of uncertainty is off to an early start.
The Cardinals QB, who hasn’t suited up since Week 5 due to a foot injury, was ruled out for the remainder of the season, Arizona coach Jonathan Gannon told reporters Friday.
“He had some more tests done this week, went out of state, got another opinion on it,” Gannon said. “It’s not progressing where it’s gonna make sense that he can go.”
Murray sprained his foot in a 22-21 loss to the Titans, but wasn’t placed on injured reserve until Week 8.
The No. 1 pick in the 2019 draft ends his season with 962 passing yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions, with backup Jacoby Brissett to continue handling pass-throwing duties for the final five games of the season.
