SUNSET PARK — The founders of Gowanus cultural hub Public Records are partnering with the New York City Economic Development Corporation to open a new 1,000-person-capacity event space at MADE Bush Terminal in Sunset Park. The venue, to be located in Building A of the historic waterfront complex, will feature both creative and community programming, according to Dezeen .
Designed by nArchitects with acoustic and lighting contributions from Arup, NNNN, Ojas and Ben Kreukniet, the project will not be directly tied to the original Public Records space but will carry the same creative ethos, according to the team.
Construction on the space is set to begin “within months,” as MADE continues its transformation into a major creative campus.
