MINNEAPOLIS — Delta Airlines said there were no injuries when a deicing truck struck a plane as it prepared to depart MSP International Airport for Honolulu on Friday.
"While Delta Flight 312 was undergoing required deicing due to winter weather, a deice truck made contact with the aircraft. There are no reports of injuries and Delta apologizes to our customers for the experience and delay of their travels," a Delta spokesperson said in a statement.
MSP Airport officials also confirmed the pre-flight incident, but neither airport officials nor Delta commented on the severity of any damage.
According to the Delta website, Flight 312 was originally scheduled to depart MSP at 10:30 a.m. for Honolulu but has been rescheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
