Loop 101 closure planned for Monday night

PHOENIX – Chandler's freeways and ramps won't be among the planned closures around the Valley this weekend.

The ramps along Interstate 17 and Loop 101 will be closed for work from Friday night until Monday morning for freeway projects.

Drivers should be prepared to take detours while work takes place Dec. 5-8, state transportation officials said.

Here’s what to expect:

The northbound Interstate 17 exit ramp to Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a ramp widening project.

Detour: Consider exiting northbound I-17 at Dove Valley Road and traveling west to southbound 43rd Avenue to connect with westbound Loop 303.
