A 33-year-old man from Cornwall is facing two charges following separate police investigations.

Police alleged the man sexually assaulted someone along a bike path in the city during what police described as a random encounter on Aug. 29; and that he did the same to another person on Sept. 18. He was taken into custody at police headquarters on Thursday.

The man was charged with two counts of sexual assault.

He was held in police custody pending a bail hearing in Cornwall court.
