EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - One person is in custody after a mid-morning road rage incident.
Around 10:30 a.m., deputies with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Royal Car Wash on Pearl Drive for a report of an man brandishing a gun.
Deputies say an argument happened between two drivers at the car wash.
Authorities say initial reports suggested the victim was trying to leave when the suspect approached, unable to enter since the driveway was blocked.
According to VCSO, the two argued and it escalated when one of the drivers, identified as Duane Dollison, pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the victim.
Deputies say the victim quickly drove to a nearby parking lot and dialed 911 while Dollison left the area.
