Margot Robbie wants to shield her family from the birds of prey .

Over a year after the Suicide Squad actor welcomed her son with husband Tom Ackerly , she explained why she prefers to keep their toddler out of the spotlight.

“I’m trying to keep that side of things private and protect him,” Margot, 35, told British Vogue in an interview published Dec. 5. “Earlier in my career, I’d speak more freely in interviews. I’ve just been burnt so many times, when people have taken what I’ve said out of context. And I read stuff all the time where people put me in quotation marks saying things I’ve never said.”
