KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A makeshift offensive line will likely be protecting Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes Sunday night in a near must-win matchup with the Houston Texans.

The Chiefs listed All-Pro right guard Trey Smith (ankle) and starting right tackle Jawaan Taylor (elbow) as doubtful for the Week 14 contest in Friday’s final injury report.

Starting rookie left tackle Josh Simmons also will not be playing after being placed on injured reserve this week due to a dislocated and fractured left wrist.

Without those three players in front of Mahomes, the Chiefs’ offensive line figures to feature Wanya Morris, Mike Caliendo and Jaylon Moore, along with typical starters Kingsley Suamataia and Creed Humphrey.
