CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A Charleston County judge handed down a sentence to a woman convicted of several incidents, including shooting an employee at a downtown restaurant.

Kresha Oshey Simmons pled guilty to two counts of attempted murder, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and several weapon-related charges.

She was charged with crimes from two separate incidents, according to Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson.

During the first incident in September 2022, Simmons shot her girlfriend after she mistakenly assumed a visitor to their home was having a secret relationship with the victim. When being sought by police, she continually threatened to harm the victim, which led to an intimidation charge against her. After they caught her, she was also found with a gun.
